On Sunday, September 19, 2010 a long awaited memorial service for Veronica was held at the Tri-County Fairgrounds in Mendota. While this would appear to bean odd location for a memorial service, it was actually quite fitting. The church that Veronica grew up in was not available so the word went out for a venue. The fair board stepped up and offered their facilities. In hindsight, it was Veronica who chose the location. 



The fair was one of Veronicas favorite events during the year. During the fair in 1990, 3 weeks before her disappearance, Veronica was ill with mono and was not able to attend the fair. Maybe this was her way of going to the fair one last time with those she loved the most...
